Coxons Group Australia has announced the launch of its flagship ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the Hunter Valley, bringing additional cooling maintenance and repair capabilities to the heavy industries sector.
The Singleton Centre of Excellence combines the operating power of two of its NSW branches – Coxons Newcastle and MRC Singleton, bringing all staff and capabilities under one roof – and one brand – from 1 October, 2022.
Coxons Group CEO Scott MacDonald said the consolidation of the two branches would deliver increased convenience and capacity to its customers in the mining region.
“We’re committed to becoming the go-to specialist cooling maintenance and repair partner for the heavy industries in Australia, and our Centre of Excellence is a promising step in that direction,” MacDonald said.
“Coxons Group is in a really exciting period of growth and change. In addition to our flagship site opening, we’ve also completed the rebrand of all other MRC sites, uniting our resources and teams for a stronger future together.
“In particular, our expanded footprint in key mining regions means we can offer greater flexibility and serviceability to industries where minimising equipment downtime is absolutely imperative.”
The cooling solutions leader acquired MRC Australia in 2021, growing its service capabilities and connections to the Hunter Valley and Bowen Basin mining communities.
The sale brought MRC’s two physical locations across to Coxons Group – Mackay in QLD and Singleton in NSW. As of 1 October 2022, all MRC sites have now completed the transition to the Coxons Group Australia brand.
