This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Chinevwa ‘Chevy’ Salwanja, a Radiator Fitter at our Singleton branch whose dedication, workmanship and willingness to support others make him a valued member of the Coxons Group team
Originally from Zambia, Chinevwa began his career as a Diesel Fitter in 2007 before making the move to Australia to join Coxons Group in March 2024. Stepping into the role of Radiator Fitter, Chinevwa brought with him a wealth of mechanical experience and a willingness to learn. Since then, he’s embraced the challenges of a new specialty, developing his technical expertise and becoming someone his teammates regularly turn to for guidance.
Chinevwa’s commitment to his work goes well beyond getting the job done. Known for his attention to detail, reliability and no-fuss attitude, he consistently sets a high standard of workmanship while encouraging those around him to do the same. His willingness to step up, lend a hand and lead by example has earned him two Values Awards, recognising both Care and Leadership.
For Chinevwa, one of the most rewarding parts of his journey at Coxons has been the people he’s met and the support he’s received along the way.

Despite his extensive experience, Chinevwa is quick to acknowledge how much he’s learned from his colleagues and the opportunities he’s had to grow professionally since joining the team.
