Gary and Julie Heazlewood bought the business in 1997, with sons Joel and Cameron joining a few years later. Even in those early days, the team had an eye to the future and an appetite for innovating the industry.
The business moved to the current workshop in Maloney St, Rockhampton in 2015, and began investing in exchange radiators. Taking the idea further in 2016, Coxons pioneered a nosecone exchange for mining equipment, helping our customers get back to work faster – and our business to grow rapidly.
Acquiring Natrad Newcastle and Townsville branches in 2018, the business rebranded as Coxons Group Australia, and later went on to be recognised as a Queensland Mining Awards Finalist in the Cost Saving category thanks to the increasingly popular Nosecone Exchange program.
Our values reflect the character of the Heazlewood family. To this day, Joel and Cameron Heazlewood have been pivotal in guiding the business into the future and continuing the innovation and solid reputation for integrity for which Coxons Group is known. The business continues to grow from strength to strength, acquiring MRC (Mackay Radiators and Coolers - Mackay and Singleton) in 2021.
