About the Role

This part-time, in-office role provides general administrative assistance to the Head Office and wider team. The Administration Officer is responsible for supporting a range of day-to-day operational activities including travel bookings, event coordination, purchasing, and reception duties.

This position is Monday to Friday, with flexibility in working hours (minimum 5–6 hours per day). A typical day may run from 8:00am to 2:30pm with a 30-minute break, however hours can be negotiated.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and editing correspondence, reports and stakeholder communications.
  • Greeting visitors and contractors and coordinating all enquiries at the main reception, including answering incoming phone calls.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider office.
  • Maintaining databases, distributing communications and recording meeting minutes.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, events and meetings for the business.
  • Managing purchasing and receipt of goods, including office consumables and uniforms.
  • Coordinating IT-related asset management and communications.
  • Assisting with basic project coordination and office initiatives.

About You

You are a positive and proactive team player who takes pride in delivering quality support to others. You are detail-oriented, motivated and organised, with a professional approach and a willingness to get involved in a variety of tasks.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 3 years of experience in a general administration role.
  • Ideally has experience in an industrial or blue-collar work environment.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Has excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
